Creating a database is easy — you fill in text boxes such as title and author as the screen prompts you.  Anything except the title can be left blank and filled in later, if you prefer.

The program will backup your existing database if you like

You can use the Library of Congress Z39.50 automatic input and do a minimum of typing

You can use Process for monitoring sales

The database creation program will ask you for this information:

Point.gif (205 bytes) Title  You may have up to 99 variations on the title and series

Point.gif (205 bytes) Author  You may have up to 99 author or producer entries

Point.gif (205 bytes) Subject  You can have up to 99 of these, and you can use approved LC subjects or make up your own

Point.gif (205 bytes) Accession information  There are many choices, or you can ignore accessioning altogether

Point.gif (205 bytes) Publisher and Date  A publisher may be entered beforehand and clicked in.  The date field is long enough for more than one year and may include copyright notices.

Point.gif (205 bytes) Physical Description  Anything goes in this field, or you may ignore it

Point.gif (205 bytes) Notes or comments  These may be entered in a list beforehand and simply clicked in, or you may skip them

Point.gif (205 bytes) Call Number  There are many choices, or you can opt not to use a call number

Point.gif (205 bytes) Location  The system will ask for the physical location of the item, which you may ignore if you like
